Lake Superior Beaches

Ontonagon's sandy beaches with a beautiful view of Lake Superior are a wonderful attraction to not only tourists visiting the area, but our local community members as well. The Village of Ontonagon, since 2019 has a group of volunteers to lay down ADA compliant beach mats purchased through a Portage Health Foundation Grant, to make the beach accessible to as many people as possible for everyone to enjoy a warm sunny day in Ontonagon at the beach.

This is a great place to take and evening walk, have a picnic and gather with family and friends.
