VILLAGE RESIDENTS ONLY

The Village of Ontonagon will be conducting curbside collection of TREE LEAVES ONLY. 

Bagged leaves MUST be set out on the curb by May 27th.  If a street is picked up and bagged leaves are set out after this date, it may not be picked up.  DPW will pick up as time & work schedule allows throughout the week.

Instructions and requirements for residential bagged leaf collection are as follows:

• LEAVES MUST BE PLACED IN CLEAR PLASTIC GARBAGE BAGS. Yard waste placed in other containers OR plastic bags that are not clear will not be collected.  Clear plastic bags are available at the local hardware store.
• Bagged leaves must be brought to the curb. Crews will not go onto private property to pick up yard waste.

NOTE: Tree branches WILL NOT be picked up.  Local contractors may be contacted for branch removal at home owner's cost.
